This site is dedicated to the show Orleans and two of its couples, Paulette and Bill (portrayed by Colleen Flynn and Cotter Smith) and Gina and Clade (Melora Hardin and Brett Cullen).

Why they are the best:  Intense chemistry, humor, and complex characterizations (In short, they were perfect for each other).  She was the independent casino owner with the tortured past and he was the politically ambitious District Attorney willing to set aside his aspirations for the sake of their love.
Favorite moment:Cotter Smith and Colleen Flynn In “Hijacked,” when he first arrives for her charity costume ball in which the men are all dressed as women and vice verse (he's dressed as a 20’s flapper, she's a gangster).  Their conversation starts serious with plenty of double-entendres, but soon they are laughing and wind up wrapped in a passionate embrace.
And they lived happily ever after...in New Orleans with their four children.  She opens a successful land based casino and he continues for another two terms as District Attorney before being appointed as a federal judge.

Why they are the best: Classic star-crossed lovers!  He's the son of a judge, she's the daughter of a mobster.  When her father asks her to leave him, she does, breaking his heart :(  I always figured they'd have gotten back together if only  the show had continued...
Favorite Moment: Their first scene together in "Missing" - when he helps her study ;)
And they lived happily after...in New Orleans with their kids.  She passes the bar and he remains with the police force.
